Hello!

I live in Poland so sorry for using my personal favorite Polish PC parts store but they have easy to use website with PC composing, hope it's not a problem and we have totally different pricing here in Europe/Poland than some pcpartpicker etc.:

http://techplanet.pl/przechowalnia/zapisana/?s=65815&s=62897&s=73554&s=59691&s=73104&s=73637&s=78324&s=78324

I will keep my current HDD and RAM.

I would slowly build my path towards this final build over a year or so, starting with 1x GPU and power supply and then CPU/mobo, followed by the rest when i have money.

What do you think? :)

Thanks in advance!

So... If Jesus had the gold, would he buy himself out instead of waiting 3 days for the respawn?

i would get the 8350 over the 8320.

as for GPU's you might want to look at the 7950. its better performance for roughly the same price plus you could add a 7970 later instead of another 7950

Save up and buy all the parts at once since it seems you're doing a full upgrade anyway. Also, parts and prices change quickly.

Or aim a bit lower on the specs and get your parts now/soonner.

If you ever need help with a build, read the following before posting: http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/3061-build-plan-thread-recommendations-please-read-before-posting/

760 4GBs haven't got a wide enough memory bandwidth unless you're planning to get a third in the near future... If VRAM is the issue 7950 is what you need.

The PSU is overkill you'll never need more than 750w with 2 gpus and overclocked 8320 and a watercooling loop with loads of fans...

I'd recommend getting a 120MM AIO watercooler tbh but that's just me...

Other than that it looks amazing :D

8350 is the same as 8320 no? Just higher base clocks :)

I preffer Nvidia i think and also what do you mean 7970+7950 in crossfire?! since when xD

Nah, i wouldnt survive that long without new GPU, look at my current PC xD

2GB only. MSI screwed again. Why release 2GB for the only mid-range GPU Nvidia has that is capable of beating Titan & 780 at 780 price point when SLI-ed (it sucks to SLI them without 2GB, what if 2GB wont be enough vram for textures? dayum they are screwed).

Yes but that 850w PSU is older construction, and is 80+ Silver/Gold (depends on revision i guess) - and costs significantly lower than for example HX 850w.

Fx 8350

Samsung SSD (dont get pro waste of money)

H100i or H220

Single card (wait for 9 series or get a 780 or 770 4gb (what ever is similar priced to 2x 760s))

Look at the 600T or C70. or 650D.

PC: Corsair C70 Arctic, FX 9370, Corsair H80i, Gigabyte 990fxa-ud3, Corsair Vengence 16gb, Palit JetStream GTX 970, OCZ Vertex 4 128gb and Western Digital Blue 1Tb + 500gb, Antec Gamer 520w

Peripherals: Logitech G19 and SteelSeries Sensei RAW

Toshiba L50-A: i7 4700mq, 8gb, 1TB HDD, GT 740M 2gb

the 8350 supposedly can OC higher. so if you plan on doing that then i would change :) and AMD cards can be xfired with any card that has the same front 2 numbers.

for example: 7770 and 7790, 7870 and 7850, 7950 and 7970

VRAM is adjusted to the lowest amount present along with clock speeds.

so if you have a 7950 at 1100Mhz with 2GB of VRAM, your 7970 will have the same specs.

Hmmm fair enough ^_^ I still say you should get a h220 though

ya 9xxx will only help everyone. 7xxx series will plummet to pretty much being free, Nvidia will drop their insane $700 bullcrap for a 780, everyone will benefit

I dont think nvidia will drop much as they never really did up until recent times with the talk of the next gen (when 7xx was announced).

they will. you just saw 6xx drop from their middle ground. the 680 was around the same price at launch that the 780 is at right now. they'll drop when AMD launches at under $600

Yer but nvidia is always expensive no matter which way you look at decides for titan as its like a hybrid card (but still think is expensive).

  • 3 weeks later...

After countless hours of thinking about this, I decided to upgrade with Phenom II x6 1045t. Why now? Because it seems that lately Phenom II's are beginning to disappear from the market and with that said, I may be getting one of the last Phenom II x6 available worldwide as of today. I already ordered it.

This fits into my mobo and leaves me with cheap 400PLN upgrade without changing anything else including my mobo so that when some new generation comes I will be able to change whole platform to the champ without regrets. Maybe it will be skylake @2015, maybe it will be steamroller if amd releases any new CPUs.

I'm thinking of getting a GPU next and only lately has Radeon 7970 dropped in price to 1200PLN which seems like a sweet spot. I do know that my new Phenom II x6 will bottleneck that 7970 but what can a poor man do? Lol.

So... If Jesus had the gold, would he buy himself out instead of waiting 3 days for the respawn?
