I am going to be modding my case. I am going to put a small screen on the front of it and have it say things like OC clock on my gpu and some times just make it display a pic. but i want to do this for really cheep and i have a little idea of how it will work. I will make it my 3rd screen and i will find software and put it there and have it display things. So ya need small cheep screen to put in the front of my case. Im not the best with soldering but if i HAVE to i can. (it would be nice to have a vga or hdmi but..)

This looks like a job for the Raspberry pi. And its trusty screens. I found this kit to be maybe just cheap enough for you. But I think it might be a little high end for what you are looking for.

a smaller screen like 6.5 would be better my case is 7 on the dot
