CPU temp of 99°

So i build a computer with a i5 4590 non-k ,msi z87 g45,corsair h60 but the problem is that in the BIOS says that the CPU temp is 99 C° at first i was thinking that was because i hadnt update the BIOS but even after updating it didnt change the CPU temp and i dont know what to do if one of you could help me i would be grateful [emoji1]

Does the area around the CPU seem to be hot? Maybe it's just a faulty sensor

Try remounting the cooler and applying new thermal paste if you have any.

No,it feels normal i dont feel like it was 99 C°

Then it might be just a sensor, try running a stress test on windows and see if it thermalthrottles or the measurement actually varies at all
