Quick question about EVGA RMA

Go to solution Solved by Guest,

Hello,

Good afternoon. As ebay is not an authorized reseller for our products, buying a product from here will be considered a 2nd hand purchase and any warranty claims will be done through the GUEST RMA page. This may affect certain products warranty depending on the warranty suffix on the product. Full details of the warranty can be found at http://www.evga.com/support/warranty

I am about to RMA a broken PSU I bought from eBay (Supernova G2 850w) but I was wondering, does it matter if I put eBay as "Purchase Place"

Should I straight up lie, tell the truth and maybe not get an RMA or what?

(P.S I don't know where the buyer got it from and he is an extremely slow replier so he isn't an option)

whatever will not seem like a lie since you've got to give them an invoice of some type right? (never RMA'd to evga)

I'm worried if I put like Overclockers UK or something then I will have to provide an invoice..

How long did you have the PSU before it broke?

I bought it broken as said in OP

hmm, I'd think that they would want one no matter what.  I'd think you might have to get a hold of the slow responding seller and see if he will give you a copy of his original invoice (if he's got one).  I've done that for one guy I sold stuff to just in case but I dont think he ever had to send it in

AFAIK you always have to have a proof of purchase for RMA's.

Ketchup is better than mustard.

GUI is better than Command Line Interface.

Dubs are better than subs

So just put it as eBay and hope I get it?

If you can't get in-touch with the seller, and they can't provide you with the original invoice, then I think that's your only option as I think if you say Amazon, OverclockersUK or whatever they might ask for an invoice...

Maybe take a quick look at the warranty suffix for the PSU, and see if it says anything about it there?

You should actually be fine if it's still within its warranty...

Is it actually still in warranty though?

Did you purchase it intending to fix it, or just straight up RMA it and get a bargain?
