Multi brand display - color matching

Hi there,

I got a dual monitor for a few years and one thing that keeps hurting me is the total difference in colours on both displays. I've tried many times and spent hours trying to configure them trough nvidia control panel without luck.

I finally abandoned, until today when I saw the ultimate surround build log with 3 monitors and yet a good colour matching. And it was stunning!
Can someone please help me on how to make them both display the same thing?

if it helps (but i don't think so) the monitors are:
- asus VG series 3D

- liyama ProLite E2773HS

SNIP

Its very difficult to get non matching displays to show the same colours, since the displays will have different levels of colour accuracy, and other things inside which can differ

the best thing to do would be to buy a proper coulour calibration tool and run through the process properly

Or buy 2 matching monitors

I think my dad has a Spyder, I'll see to borrow it.

Next time I buy displays i'll make sure to go with matching ones, the 3D screen being somewhat useless afterall. I can't get my nvidia GPU to use the 3D ability of that monitor without buying special glasses that connects to my computer. The polarised glasses they sent with are good and do not require anything more on hardware.
But right now those monitors are still very new so i don't feel like changing them.

Thank you for your replies.
