Old sound card.

I have an really old sound card that is a Yamaha YMF724 (XG),

Would that be better than my onboard sound card on my Asrock 970 Pro 3 RC 2.0

probably not, but slide it into your pc and test if it still has drivers, and if yes, if it still makes a decent sound.

 

if it does, you have an extra microphone in / speaker out.

i think the audio on your mobo is better wait wut, yamaha sound card? its probably good then. (yamaha makes great audio products in general so i would assume the soundcard is better)

Couldn't get drivers. I tried the Yamaha XP Drivers and someone's Win 7 DIY drivers, it didn't work
