Getting off screen after overclock.

Hi! I asked many people about H81m-p33 overclock with g3258. After getting my answer i tryed it. I putted voltage to 1.24 and core ration to 45x. After rebooting my pc my computer starts. All fan working but my screen is black. I mean like its not even turned on. Feeling like my pc is not even connected to it. What to do. I use Old Radeon HD 5970. Still powerful. Am i doing something wrong. Monitor using DVI-D connection.  People sayd that i should try with integrated graphics. Any other ideas

standard multiplier, afaik: 32x for 3.2GHz at ~1.1V

you tried: 45x for 4.5GHz at 1.24V

NO. When i have unstable oc my windows does not start. This time when i oc to 1.24 and 45x it was just like my gpu is not connected. Monitor was off

While overclocking my CPU I found a few more signs that the OC is unstable, one of which being the PC refusing to POST alltogether.

 

I recommend gradual increments of both voltage and multiplier followed by quick load tests between increments (it takes far less to get to the desired OC rather than trying to one-shot the OC and benching for 12h only to find it fail)

You don't do that, you go up gradually, otherwise, worst case, you end killing your components. Do what revsilverspine describies and go up gradually.

You mean by that start from 33x? and go higher by 0,1ghz?
