So i recently upgraded to Windows 10, and i've noticed that the search function won't search for programsn you've installed, just apps (?)

And the search function is called Cortana right? So is there any way to search for example files and programs in Cortana? or can you just get the old search function from Windows 7?

haha yeah thats an option, but i like windows 10 generally, just that the search function sux..

 

 

Works fine for me 

I can find all my apps and find folders (%appdata%) and the such

Just make sure you have location enabled 

 

yeah? and how do i enable it? i can only find very simple settings for Cortana, lite using the cloud and such.

Really on the windows 10 commercials I thought they where using cortana

"She" will only search for questions, and any apps you have

other then that searching is something you have to do yourself

which is stupid I mean, I don't want to go to my desktop to launch Cinema 4D
