It depends on the chip, most of intels latest chips are mostly iGPU, so the cpu core may only make up a smaller portion of the chip, but it really depends on the cpu itself, model, revision, that kind of stuff. What is considered the core on the cpu, is the hardware under the metal cap.

Maybe I should reword what I said. Where is the piece of silicon located on the CPU. Because recently I got a CPU delivered to my house and one of the edges was bent, and I want to know if that actually interferes with the circuit.

It's for presenting purposes in that pic, why would the pic have a white screen thing. It's just to show that the chip is soldered, not thermal paste on it.

Then that shouldnt stop the cpu from working,

but if so much force was applied to the cpu that an edge bent something inside could be damaged.

Anyways, if someone would send me a cpu with a bent edge id ship it back.

Depends on the specific cpu, but it's never on the corner. Usually in the middle. A bent edge however could give you problems when seating your cpu and you may ruin your motherboard if you're not careful. It may also have partially separated the heatspreader from the cpu, which can have caused permanent damage to it or do so in the future. If you got it bent, don't risk it, RMA it.
