Headphone Jack Extention?

Hi,

 

I am tired of my headphone cord getting wrapped around my chair and almost knocking my computer over...

 

I am wondering if there is something that extends a headphone jack and still allows switching from headphones to my monitors speakers when I unplug/plug in my headphones...

 

If there is a nice thing to sit by my monitor and let me do that, that would be fantastic!

The issue is that OP wants to be able to unplug the headphones from the end of the extension and leave the extension plugged into the PC, so it won't work...

 

@OP, there isn't a whole lot you can do unless you're willing to spend ~$60 on an external amp/dac...
