The Intel HD Graphics is the one that comes with your CPU. It is a GPU, but on your CPU. You know those DVI,VGA, and HDMI ports on your motherboard you never use? Yea, that's what they're for. Don't use them. The R7 200 Series is your actual dedicated GPU, and the one you should be plugging stuff into.

If you're still on an R7 2xx GPU, a good upgrade might be an R9 380.

The GPU that you're using is the one your monitor is plugged into. If it's plugged into the motherboard, you're using the Intel HD graphics. If it's plugged into your GPU, you're using the AMD R7 2XX graphics.
