Planning on Fooling Microsoft

Go to solution Solved by EliasNM,

so anotherwards, they are basically giving away free win10 keys despite the fact that i can use win7 key on another computer. correct?

Yes. Theoretically that is. Not like they will notice anyways since for Win10 the new keys which are not serial keys anymore allowing Win7 keys to be used somewhere else.

I have a build coming up and i would like to install the computer with retail ver. of win 7. After updates and what-not, i want to upgrade to win10. I know this is possible to get win10 but after win10 setup, will that old retail win7 license key be deactivated or will it be usable???

Win7 keys are always usable even after upgrades. You won't be fooling Microsoft, they are aware of your upgrade and will proceed in licensing accordingly.
