Which X99 mobo

Go to solution Solved by NumLock21,

Deluxe and Pro almost look exactly the same, with some differences. Pro has 1 lan and 2x2 wifi/bt, deluxe has 2 lans and 3x3 wifi/bt. Both have that plastic white shroud that's goes along the back edge of the board covering the i/o ports. The heatsink on the Deluxe is much larger and is all connected by heatpipes, on the pro they're a bit smaller and only the pch is connected with heatpipes. There is 1 less SATA Express port on the Pro that makes a total of 10 SATA ports vs 12 on the Deluxe. Deluxe has a SLI/CFX switch (does not apply for 5820K), Pro does not. Pro has basic onboard power/reset buttons. Deluxe has LED power/reset switches. 10x USB 3.0 on Deluxe and only 6x USB 3 on the Pro, but it does have a PS/2 combo port. The Audio ports on the Deluxe are gold plated and they're not on the Pro. USB 3.1 on the Deluxe is just a add-on card, so there is no difference between that and the non USB 3.1 models. On the Pro however, USB 3.1 is built in, so if you want USB 3.1, make sure it says USB 3.1.

Skylake is taking to long and I need my pc for school. So should I go Asus X99 Deluxe or X99-A or x99-pro?

The X99 deluxe is fine, unless you care for USB3.1.
