I recently bought a msi 970 gaming motherboard to replace my ASUS M5A78L-M. Before the switch I was getting about 100-110fps on the games I play on max settings. Since switching to the the msi motherboard. both low and maximum settings get 30-40 fps. I've tried switching back to the old motherboard and no change, tried other cpu, psu and other ram and still no luck. Downloaded all my lastest drivers and made sure everything is up to date and still no luck. Can anyone help me?

Maybe inside your bios something has changed, like cpu clock speeds, ram clock speeds.

Also you can see if your gpu/cpu boosts to their supposed clock speeds while under load.

For that you can try CPU-Z for your cpu and msi afterburner for your gpu (just my favorites, there are many more)

CPU: i7-4770k (LM modded) - MB: GA-Z87X-UD3H - RAM: HyperX, 16GB 1866MHz - GPU: Palit GTX 980Ti Super - Storage: 1TB HDD + 500GB/120GB SSD (850 Evo/840) - Monitor: Predator XB271HU - PSU: 700W BeQuiet 80+ Gold
