So, i've posted on this topic numerous times, but i'm hesitant to set up a build log until I have it all planned out. In sumary, my father wants a laptop that can handle gaming and such, and he doesn't want prebuilt. The most difficult part for me is choosing the chassis. I am interested in the clevo p750zm, but I can't find anywhere that sells just the chassis. Any ideas as to where I might find this?

Just a guy who peaked at building back in the days of the GTX 980. If you see me here, assume i have technical knowledge akin to a committed hobbyist builder back then. If something's changed, you'll need to tell me(nicely plz). I'm probably asking for help with the modern build scene since I have no clue what's going on.

Good luck finding information on custom built laptops, its insanely difficult to find parts and is probably gonna be more expensive then a pre-built laptop. I also don't run across many people who have experience doing this either, I tried once but after crunching the numbers, found it wasn't worth the cost, nor the time.

I wish you luck in your endeavor!

I found a website which lets you configure a barebone chassis. You can just opt out on all the options and then you'll have a barebone.
