What is push, pull, and push/pull?

I've watched Linus' video on this topic, but still don't understand. Can you someone please provide an explanation? Thanks in advance.

You have a radiator.

Push is a fan configuration where the fans push the air through the radiator from underneath / inside to out of the case.

Pull is a fan configuration where the fans are on top, and pull the air through the radiator.

Push/pull is fans on both sides of the radiator.

"Push" is when your fans are mounted on the inside of the case pushing air through the rad and out of the case, like this:

CASE EDGE CASE EDGE

RAD RAD RAD RAD RAD

FANS PUSHING AIR UP

"Pull" is when the fans are mounted on the inside of the case between the case edge and the rad pulling air in, like this:

CASE EDGE CASE EDGE

FANS PULLING AIR DOWN

RAD RAD RAD RAD RAD RAD

"Push-pull" is when the rad has two sets of fans working together pushing and pulling, like this:

CASE EDGE CASE EDGE

FANS PULLING AIR UP

RAD RAD RAD RAD RAD

FANS PUSHING AIR UP

... or this:

CASE EDGE CASE EDGE

FANS PUSHING AIR DOWN

RAD RAD RAD RAD RAD RAD

FANS PULLING AIR DOWN

Hope I helped, sorry if this is a bit confusing but it is the only way I could think of wording it  :)

EDIT: Here is an image that explains this more clearly :)
