Is this same like trialpay deals on some software? You get software for free if you buy something else via trialpay. Sounds like scam to me, but if you trust it....

I seriously doubt they'd be willing to soil their name over a few piddly dollars.

And these freebies are promotional deals between companies.

It's old stock that's taking up space in their warehouse.  Space costs money.

 

Stores dump their old stock for cost or below cost all the time and wrap it it into a promotion

to generate cheap advertising and clear their shelves for newer stock.

 

 

There is no conspiracy here.
