Automatic Repair loop when overclocking

Go to solution Solved by HoiDaniel,

w10 + overclock G3258 is broken

downgrade to w8.1 should fix it

Trust me, i have had the same issue and broke my MB thanks to it :D I had the  MSI H81i motherboard so it's basically the same.

I upgraded my PC to windows 10 from windows 8 and did a restore, My cpu is running at 3.2 ghz and when ever i try to over clock it to 4.2 it goes to a infinite automatic repair loop. I haven't had a problem with this before on windows 8 and my motherboard is on the latest update. And whenever i try to overclock above 4.2 my bootup goes to a black screen and says Overclocking has failed and i have had this problem even on windows 8. Can anyone tell me how i can Overclock my CPU?

Specs

Windows 10

Intel Pentium G3258 (cpu)

MSI H81M-P33(motherboard)

500w psu

8GB ram

R7 260x (gpu)

Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO(cpu cooler)
