I'm building a pc for the first time and i don't understand something. So my question is:

 

Intel I5-4690 BX80646I54690

 

 what does the long number stand for and should i worry about it when i'm looking for deals

Nope, it's an i5-4690 and that's it. That number is just the SKU.

All you need to know is that the cpu is an i5-4690.  Don't worry about that code.

I think the code only matters when you buy it at the same website where you found it with that code.

Don't worry about that long code. It's just an i5-4690
