Installing Windows 10 followed by new SSD

WinNut

Would it be possible to install Windows 10 on a laptop, install a new SSD after installing Windows 10, and then do a fresh install of Windows 10 onto that new SSD and have it still automatically activate, or does it record the HDD model as part of the activation process?

Thanks!
