bf3 fps boost

bf3 for me usually averages about 64 fps on a gtx 670 and 3770k all on stock so today I started overlcocling my cpu and i got it tp 4.6 and I was playing bf3 and I got 73fps average can a cpu overlcok make that big of a difference.

I wouldn't push it any further than 4.6 to be honest.

Overclocking your GPU gives better results, but overclocking both is even better. And yes, CPU overclocks can make a big difference in games.

i know that but I was shocked that around 9 fps in cpu

Frostbite uses cpu power more than gpu power. I don't understant why ppl think gpu is more important with newer BF games. Same effect was in BC2. My fps raised when I changed 3.4GHz E8400 C2D to Q6600 quad core stock by 20. With same gpu.

yeah i also got a boost from overclocking my i3 550 to 4.0
