So I was planning to make a bootable usb drive with my ext hdd with making the 2nd partition on my hdd because im short off flash drive right now,to make it works i had to activate the 2nd partition i wont have to lose all the data on the 1st partition which the one that currently active because my hdd dont had the space anymore to do some backup whatsoever,so my question is:

Do making the 2nd Partition active which means makes the 1st partition inactive gonna make the data on the 1st partition loss when i reactivate the 1st partition when im done installing the OS with the 2nd partition?

Thanks before for the answer (I actualy can wait to buy new flashdrive but just curious about it so i can learn more about it :D)
