Gaming: Low settings on old-ish games (think Bioshock, Skyrim, Sims, etc.)

3. Monitors
Single monitor @ 1920x1080

4. Peripherals
Windows OS + Keyboard

5. Why are you upgrading?
This is my first build.

 

Notes

I have a base build here, but I'm unsure of how good it is for the price. I will be purchasing the SSD and GPU after the initial build is complete, so I'll survive on integrated graphics until then.

also I would get a k series CPU and a z97 motherboard so you can OC

Looks good, but get a different SSD the V300's aren't good.

Seems pretty good I'd replace the V300 SSD with something else like the Samsung EVO or Adata SP600.

unless you are getting custom cables there is no reason to get a fully modular psu over a semi modular psu and the semi modular are cheaper usually and as other people said dont get the v300
