My keyboard has one in space bar.

Seems like a heavier brown

Picture? What is this black magic. If it's a heavier brown then it's probably an MX Clear.

It's deff gray. I'll take a pic after dinner

yes it is a thing lol

it is not uncommon to have heavier keys for esc and space bar. I even put stronger springs in @Vitalius' keyboard for space bar and esc.

sometimes you will see green switches used for a space bar on a blue switch keyboard, it is the same concept.

im not sure about grays but clears have a different feel to them than browns. Fuck if I know lol what are the rest of the switched are they clears and not browns? lol

Browns.

It's The Compaq one I got. Not shure when it's from.

The model m I got said august 20, 1986.
