Nope, not worth it.

1. There are only a few games with physx that came out the last couple of years.

2. You need something that is at max 2-3 tiers lower than your main card, a gt 210 would butcher your fps.

3. Not worth the hassel, power usage, noise hot air in general.

Is there really any point in getting one?

Thinking about getting one something like the GT210 which is cheap qustion is if it can handle Phyx?

it's almost never beneficial, as the second card is either too weak to keep up or would do better with SLI

just use your main card for physX

I can only see a dedicated physX card improving framerates if you were benchmarking with 4+1 SLI using the spare card as the physX card

You need a PhysX card that can keep up with your gaming card. Ever notice how games like Batman Arkham Asylum and such specify which GPU should be a minimum to use for PhysX? That would be why.

If you're using a 970 or above, I'd suggest a 660Ti or better for a PhysX card, and that's just guesswork.

I have finally moved to a desktop. Also my guides are outdated as hell.

If doing 3 or 4 way sli on physx games (which admittedly are few and far between), it is ALMOST ALWAYS better (in peak fps) to use one of the cards solely as a physx card as scaling beyond 2 way sli is really really bad. That said... Using a physics processor that is more than two tiers below your current one (esp if using sli setups) almost always results in a worse experience than not having one at all.
