My Second Assembled PC

Hello All,

After several years of using and upgrading my first PC and finally having saved up enough dough to get myself a new one, I've decided to this would be the right time to go for a Skylake based gaming PC. So, here is what I'm eyeing and would love to hear your valuable opinion about the recommended components and the reality of my expectations.

 

1. Budget & Location
Budget is USD $1500 - $1700 (Roughly around INR 95000 - 120000). Location is Chennai, India.

2. Aim
My day job is as an Oracle DB Administrator and my night job is a Game developer (programming mostly). So, I need something to be able to handle 1080P gaming (Batman Arkham Knight, Farcry 3, LoL, Dota2, etc) and some heavy ass programs such as Visual Studio 2015, Photoshop, 3DS Max and Maya.

3. Monitors
One good 24" 1080p monitor with HDMI input.

4. Peripherals
I have a set of Logitech Gaming Keyboard/Mouse/Headphones set. So, no need of peripherals.

5. Why are you upgrading?
Like I said, the current one is like five years old and has a Phenom X4 processor (T.T)  and, I've saved up enough to get me something decent (I hope).

 

One personal preference though, I'm a little attracted by cool colors in cases. Suggest some basic mods if I get them under the budget that is.

lol. I do not work at Oracle. I work for a partner firm that uses Oracle solutions as a Database Administrator.
