So I will be going to school again soon and I am looking at getting a laptop so that I can take notes and such but I will also be doing some light gaming like Minecraft, Hearthstone, WoW, etc.

So my question is what would a be a good laptop to get for $800 or less?

Do you really need a laptop for notes?

Do you already have a desktop?

Well I mean it's not just for notes and yes because I am going into a computer class and we need a laptop but I don't have a laptop right now so I kinda want a general use laptop.

I would recommend you get a laptop with a decent CPU then upgrade the drive to an SSD and upgrade the RAM if needed. I saved a lot of money by doing my laptop that way.

why? they make the best computers for professionals.

There are a multitude of reasons why I don't like apple and very few reasons why I do like them but I will more than likely never buy one of their products.

The Core M MacBook?

For World of Warcraft I have a feeling that the experience on that specific laptop would probably be worse than what an A8 4500M/A8 6410/i5 2430M (an $800 Windows laptop or $1500 MBP would fair a bit better. I don't mind Apple but I wished that for $2,500 Apple put in a slightly better GPU in the 15" rMBP (either the 960M or AMD mobile equivalent)
