Need Define S window

Go to solution Solved by Curufinwe_wins,

Thanks to everyone that commented here! I had to return two sp140 fans (the rad didn't have enough clearance in the Define S to do what I was planning on) and just on a whim I brought the side panel (BY ITSELF)!!! Back to microcenter and they swapped it out for me free of charge! BETWEEN yesterday and today this was by far my best shopping experience ever, I cannot recommend microcenter enough!

I am bringing the box back tomorrow for them.

Hey guys. I picked up a Define S and forgot that non-windowed cases exist... But since I'm on a fairly strict time restraint, I built in it anyways. Does anyone know where New (or used honestly I don't care that much) Define S (or R5 since they are hotswappable) windowed side-panels can be obtained?

If a random person has a window'd side panel from an r5 or s they want to swap for a brand new define s non-windowed panel, I'd be willing to trade (plus some money if needed).

I did send a message to Fractal Design (unfortunately their telephone service is only mon-friday aww.)

i actually dont think you can swap between an R5 and a define S, because the R5 has this dodgy mechanism for releasing the sidepanel, whereas the define S just sas screws IIRC.

I'd make it work, if someone had it haha.

Just contact Fractal-Design.

I will, but I'm rather concerned being in the US.

Puget Systems is the fractal design part depot

I'd make it work, if someone had it haha.

i believe fractal usually just redirects you to puget systems for stuff like this. could be wrong tho.

EDIT: i was gonna check puget systems' website, but its not loading at all :/

I have a side panel from my white R4 that I could swap you (dunno if they're compatible) :P It was originally a windowless panel but a week with a dremel and three diamond wheels took care of that. :D The window is actually about twice the size of the official window, so that's a plus over the epic fail that it turned out to be with the paint.

It's not just you sadly.

I don't think they are compatible unfortunately. I'll have to look though. haha
