I was playing Witcher 3 on my brand new computer. And my pc heated around 100 C (CPU) then it shutdown. After 15 min i turn on the pc. This time after 5 min of playing my game. My pc shut off onve again. And after that my pc is not turning on. And there is no light in my motherboard which is asus maximus vii hero... And my cpu is 4790k....

So i open my power supply (seasonic x series 750w) from cabinet and try to sort the 4th pin with 5th pin to see whether fan is spinning but it is not spinning...

Can you guys tell me what problem exactly happen?

Did you overclock your CPU? Maybe you should've waited for the cooler before putting it under such a heavy load?

Stock cooler. I have ordered hyper 212x from Amazon it will take 3-4 days to reach me.

Have you over clocked it at all?

if not m,ake sure the cooler is making proper constact with the CPU it should not be hitting 100 c even with the stock cooler

Maximum allowed CPU temp for this CPU is 74.04`C http://ark.intel.com/products/80807/Intel-Core-i7-4790K-Processor-8M-Cache-up-to-4_40-GHz

I think this stock cooler isnt made to handle constant load from witcher and 4.4GHz by stock boost because when i had stock cooler on my 4690K and played withcer 3 then it auto exited game when reached 70`C and dont let me turn on any app until cool off. Why? Because i made an program which is doing this and i wont share it

If you're jumping your psu using the 24pin cable, an the psu fan isn't spinning, you clearly have a PSU problem.

You may be happy you have an Intel processor because it can handle very high temperatures (though it is not recommended to reach those high temperatures..).

Get a new certified PSU and RMA this one. Q-Shield should not short your PSU or let you reach the high temperatures. If it did, your power would be switched of automatically because of the ground electricity. It looks like your PSU has a fault.

Which temperatures do you reach with the PSU from your friend?

Hey bro after attaching the friends smps with my cabinet it not start. Then i pull out the mobo and power supply again and test on a table. It started. Then i tried with my power supply and it does started although the paper clip test not passed on my psu...

So again i assembled everything on cabinet and it not started. Then what i do is directly connect the cpu plug to wall socket and it's worked. But it is not starting while connecting through the surge protector, all though the monitor printer running fine from surge protector.
