I'm purchasing the hardware to build my first gaming PC this week. I need opinions on what GPU would be the best option. Information on why I should choose the GPU you suggest would be helpful.

Here is my current build: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/zWZ9zy

A little information:

• I am a PC gamer / live streamer

• I play games like CS:GO, HearthStone, and Dota 2 which I would like to be able to play at a stable 60 FPS on max settings.

• Looking for the GPU that will have the longest lasting stable performance (3+ years)

Also, if you have any suggestions on other hardware changes to my current build let me know what the change is and the reason. All information and feedback is high appreciated and will be taken into great consideration.

Thanks!

First of all, don't get that PSU. It's terrible at 12v regulation. It's just crappy. Gold rating means nothing for us gamers. EVGA G1 units are crap, G2 units are great.

Second of all, the entire point of a K series CPU is overclocking, which you need a Z97 chipset motherboard for as well as an aftermarket cooler. As it stands, your build makes no sense.

Secondly, all of those games can be played with a fairly cheap GPU like an R9 270 even. If you want to play current demanding games, an R9 290 would probably be your best bang for buck option.

You need a Z97 board to overclock that CPU. For GPU anything recent should run those three games at 60 fps.

Even an $80 HD 7770 = R7 250x would be more than enough, though an R7 260x for $10 more would be way better. But if you want to go overboard in case new expansions get released you can go R9 270 for $150, GTX 960 for $180, or R9 380 for $200.

Budget ?

A R9 390 would be a fine choice

a 980ti if you're rolling in dosh

i'm not sure about the gpu.

better tell what your budget is.

the thing i noticed is that you picked a 4690k (i have one to) and an h79 motherboard

h motherboard can't overclock the cpu and you picked an overclockable cpu.

better go with either a z97 and a k cpu or h97 and an non k cpu.

sorry for possible grammar mistakes

Budget is 200$. I had included that but it got removed after trying to post the thread without a title accidentally :S

Q: what brand is best for GPUs?

Also thanks to those who pointed out that I don't have a z97 chip set motherboard. I will change that.

For ~200$ you can get R9 380's,

You could also go for a second hand R9 280x for ~190$

Recommend what is best, not what you preffer.
