so i build my computer  about 2 months ago and this is the second time this happnes, my computer isnt booting

after bios it says "reboot and select proper boot device or insert a boot media in selected boot device and press a key_"

 

i fix this last time by disconecting the hard drive and turning on the computer wiht just the ssd

can anyone tell me what the problem might be?

 

also i keep getting this blue screen tht something messed up but ill save that for after i read the instruction

windows 7 64 bit, 8gb ram

intel i5 4690k

evga gtx960

corsair 124gb ssd

hitachi 2tb hdd

psu 650w

Unplug the HDD, go into your BIOS, change boot priority to your SSD try again.

Unplug the HDD, go into your BIOS, change boot priority to your SSD try again.

i do have it like that. i cant get to the bios. my mouse and keyboard wont work till windows load

How come they won't work, are they wireless? You could try to get your hands on a wired keyboard and mouse if you can, just to try it out.

no they are not wireless, i have corsair k70 keyboard and m65 mouse

disconecting the hdd works but i cant user the mouse and keyboard till i connected again. everything seems to run fine but this is the second time it happens (within a month) and i dont want it to keep happenin... you think whats causing the blue screen might be the problem?

Are they plugged into USB3.0? If so plug into 2.0 and try again

do you have the boot drive plugged into the sata 1 or sata 2, these are up under the gpu.

if you have the boot drive in the lowest sata ports, these are for the dvd drive and such, this is known to cause many boot issues.

see page 1-20 of your manual.

yeah i guesss i do have them in sata1 and2, do i plug them in the highter 5 nd 6?

no they are in usb 2.0

I guess is not a yes or no, please dig out your manual, see page 1-20, be sure you have your boot disk in sata 1 ot 2, do not guess, this is not horse shoes, close does not count.

lol that just the way i talk, but yes i have my ssd in sata 1 and hdd in sata 2 . cause thats how i saw it in the video they had in the manual

did you install windows with two drives plugged in?

no i only had the ssd pluged in

ok, lets shut down, pull the power cord, grab your manual, do a full cmos reset, leave it in the clear cmos condision for 20 minutes.

boot to bios, reset bios to default, reboot out of bios and report back

it turn on but i want to know what is causing this problem, cause i can just unplug the hdd cable turn it on and it will load. then shutdown plug it back it and itll run fine
