GPU Overheating problem

Hey guys, thanks for the help. I've concluded it to be my PSU, I tested it and it was fine and I've had a different GPU in there before and never ran into a problem besides the fact that it was the worst one ever. Also any guides or videos I can watch to give me a support on plugging everything in. Thanks again.

My GPU overheats constantly when playing games. But when it does overheat it overheats at 50 celsius or lower. I have purchased more fans and air is always moving and is cool. When it does overheat the screen goes black and says no signal and I have to hit restat for it to reboot. Because it does this I though maybe it was a PSU problem with not pushing enough power. Any idea if there's a way to fix this or a way to tell what peice of hardware is faulty. I have only owned this card for a couple months and has been doing this ever since I bought it.

this definitely sounds like a psu issue as most gpus can reach 70 degrees C right?

also whats your gpu and are you sure its not your cpu?

<p>Wish I could have this already!! : http://pcpartpicker.com/p/qTLRjX

What GPU!?

Also your spec list please?

FX-6300, 750ti, 500w power supply. @SpiralJew did you change any fan curve settings? Update drivers and check it out with MSI afterburner. Motherboard is a 760 chipset so it could just be due to shitty VRM to the processor making a crazy bottleneck

Nude Fist 1: i5-4590-ASRock h97 Anniversary-16gb Samsung 1333mhz-MSI GTX 970-Corsair 300r-Seagate HDD(s)-EVGA SuperNOVA 750b2

Name comes from anagramed sticker for "TUF Inside" (A sticker that came with my original ASUS motherboard)

What GPU are you using and is there any overclocking on it?

I put my fan curve a lot higher than it was

At 50C it shouldn't shutdown your system or cause your screen to go black, can you test the GPU in another system or try stress testing to see if it does the same thing.

Ya I was thinking of trying it in another system but unable to use it at the moment.

Does this only happen when doing intensive tasks like gaming, your PSU isn't really a well known brand it might not be able to deliver isn't specified wattage or good quality power for that matter.

Ok, thanks later I'll test my GPU in the other PC and gather my conclusion then.
