Laptop like a wifi range extender

I have a older laptop Lenovo 3000N200 and i don't wana buy a wifi range extender.I wana know is there a way to use my laptop as a wifi range extender? On laptop i have windows xp

Usually no, most wireless chipsets on laptops only work in client mode not as an access point.

Something wrong with your connection ?

Run the damn cable :)

buy a USB wifi adapter, connect 1 adapter to your current wifi setup

setup the other adapter to form an adhoc, bridge the two connections.

Will work for electronic components and parts

Note to this, Adhoc Range is very limited.
