Dear Linus Forum,

I am currently making significant upgrades to my rig you can find here (http://pcpartpicker.com/p/kTNsNG). I really like the PSU I chose (EVGA P2) but I do not like the hard power cables that come with it and wanted to buy some custom ones.

However, every website I go to (whether it be Corsair or moddiy) has a compatibility list for their cables which never list my power supply.

Can there truly be power cable compatibility? Does it have to do with resistance of the cable compared to what the PSU is designed for?

I am confused.

Anyone know where I can find some decent custom individually sleeved cables for my power supply?

Thank you,

Amanwithplan

Look up Cablemod

@CableMod

I am fairly sure one of their kits support the P2, it definitely supports the G2

CPU: I7 4790K(4.6@1.252v)                               Case: Fractal Design Define R5 Windowed(Black)           Cooler: CM 212 EVO + NF F12 iPPC

RAM: HyperX Fury 1600MHZ CL10 2x4GB      Storage: Samsung 850 EVO(250GB) + WD Red(2TB)      PSU: Corsair RM750 (and no, it hasn't blown up!)

MoBo: Asus Maximus VII Ranger                      Graphics: MSI GTX 970 TwinFrozr (1494MHZ Core)       OS: Windows 10 Enterprise

It's the connectors at the PSU side. The conductivities and the connectors at the component-end are included in ATX standard. You can always get extension cables with individual sleeves and hide the original cables at the backside of the build.

EVGA have some they sell, or you can go for some nicer looking ones (IMO) from @CableMod

If you want a specific pattern, you can look for custom sleevers, but they're expensive. Last option is to do it yourself, but it takes a long time and can be a fairly daunting task if you haven't done it before.

I was just looking at these, but you don't have any available for the P2 at your USA retailer website :/

Do you guys sell directly? Can you link me to your product SKU: CM-EV2-FKIT-KKW-R to where I can buy it?

here you go: http://www.performance-pcs.com/cablemod-e-series-g2-p2-cable-kit-black-white.html

Performance PCS is located in the US and got a great service - and they got stock of the set.

Wow am I ever having problems with this site, at first the Order button was grayed out, so I restarted the process, now I can't get out of the Paypal payment screen with the continue button doing nothing.

Some buggery is definitely going on here.

I'll keep trying.

good luck - usually their site works fine - used it many times !

Just bought a set of cables, they already shipped them out. Good stuff. I figured out what was wrong, some bad java code when selecting a shipping carrier that doesn't deliver to ship to address but is still an available selection.
