It would be good to let us know what resolution and settings you want to run at.

You gotta do you girl. I always say you gotta do you. And if he's doing him, then who's doing you? Because right now, it seems like no one's doing you.

What is your budget and do you already have all your other components?

My 260x can run rust at 60FPS. Mind, low to medium settings. Very much playable. Your specifications are better than mine, too. And I run the thing on solid 1080p.

Well Im buying a prebuilt pc and upgrading card and power supply FYI i cant build PC location issues..

Alright then, well a 270X will play Rust just fine at 60FPS. Should even be able to get high settings, my friend is currently running a 5770 on low medium settings which gets him 60fps in most situations so you won't have any problems at all with a 270X.

Holy balls, yeah you'll be completely fine with a 270x, you'd probably even be fine with a weaker GPU if you plan on playing nothing but Rust for your entire PC experience. Otherwise I'd still buy the best GPU you can get for if you're gonna play other games.

Yeah, I'm not sure you're going to need 4GB of video ram for 1366 x 768.  Even a 270 might be overkill.  You only have so much frame to fill at 768 unless you're cranking FSAA.
But it would give you some overhead for newer games at the same resolution, and it is probably a good deal right now.

If you really wanted to save the money, you could probably go a step further down but you'll lose some visual quality even at 768.
