If you can add an extra $50, get any cheap case you want.

Hi, I'm a 14 year old working on a $400 budget trying to build a pc. I don't know where to even start!  can someone reccomend parts to me to maximize performance and longevity of the system.  I plan on using it for quite a while, and would hope and it could run top games for at least 2 years.  If anyone could help me it would be greatly appreciated ^_^

You're not gonna be running top games for 2  years on that budget.  I'd recommend at least $600.

Since you're not over clocking may I suggest getting the i3 4170 and a gigabyte ga h81 at micro center instead. You get a faster CPU but a crappier motherboard with limited ram slots. I3 goes for 99$ and the gigabyte ga h81 goes for 30$ after rebates.
