So, I'm currently working on my mini-itx build which I will use to both travel with and bring to friends houses for lan parties and such.

What I'm trying to figure out is if its possible on Windows 10 to allow an Xbox One controller to control the mouse, or the Start Screen for selecting and running applications, rather than a mouse.

Steam's big screen mode works just fine, but I've had no luck hunting down a solution that could possibly help make the controller work with the OS without being in a controller supported application.

Any ideas?

What I do know, and I found out the hard way, is that it has Xbox Controller drivers pre-installed. Not sure if this works with One, but I do know it works with 360. You'll also need Steam for it, which shouldn't be a problem. It's not expensive, either, so it's worth a try - and if you hate it, get a refund.

You can use an Xbox One Controller natively, but not to control the OS. You could get a Logitech K400 or something like it to do that though, or find a third party application that will let you do that (I know of none.)
