Are X-12's actually good?

I know X-12's are probably the most popular headsets for Xbox's, but my friend has some so I decided to wear them. For me they felt uncomfortable. Are X-12's actually good or is it just sponsorship? *cough* Linus and Intel *cough*

My FX4100 system is fine for the gaming I do, Battlefield, CS, Arma II, Arma III, they're not as bad as the internet makes them out to be.

X12s....as in Turtle Beaches? Don't get them and never look at TB again, they make absolute garbage headsets. When I was younger and my parents bought me things, I went through at least one TB headset a year.
