safe for gpu but less safe for software :P if a piece of software would be written to ur ram at that exact same time u shut it down u can get software corruption :P doesnt always happen but it can lead to data loss

Should be fine.

This is my opinion, it doesn't mean I'm right and is liable to change at any time. I may offend of which I apologize in advance.

I ask because when you dont wait for cool down card, and you turn off pc after exiting a game, then fans are not working with that high temperature.

It's fine. If you're worried about heat, the heatsink will continue to cool down the core (even faster since there's no extra heat).

I don't think he means an unexpected shut down. But rather if it would damage his parts to hit the power button too soon after load.

As @hypnodog said it will only cool faster because no new heat is being introduced to the system.

safe for gpu but less safe for software :Pif a piece of software would be written to ur ram at that exact same time u shut it down u can get software corruption :P doesnt always happen but it can lead to data loss

wrong, nothing would happen if you abruptly shut your PC while ram was being written if that was the case every time Linx or IntelBurnTest caused a BSOD we would be killing ram sticks.

HOWEVER if you were writing RAM data to Storage yes that would be the case.

linx or intelburntest doesnt write to ram really its read to read  , it only writes such small files into the ram there would be no time on it at all @ writing... same for prime95... it writes the K's into the ram at insane speeds yet it will run the K's for minutes ( read to read )

infact linx and intelburntest us INPLACE FFTS wich are handled by the core cache / cpu cache
