Which headset should I get

Guest

Since my ~2 weeks old Hyperx Cloud 2 broke I now have to buy a new headset and I can't decide which one to buy.I play a lot of cs:go so sounding is really important.I've been thinking about either Siberia V2 or Logitech G930.Has anyone had any experiences with any of those headsets or would you recommend any other headset?

Thanks

@Cephum

The g930s are very robust and well built, but you can get better audio from proper headphones

Have you thought about getting some proper headphones and a mod mic? (depending on your budget)

I think i'd rather have a headset with a mic since I wouldnt want to spend more than £70-90

Sibera V2 are awesome if you're careful with the mic :-)

Don't like the Logitech G930. They're uncomfortable and every time the turn on and off you'll subject everyone in your TS3 room to a random noise...

I don't have a lot of experience with head sets but I will say I own the Siberia V2 and they are about the most comfortable pair I've ever worn. *NOTE I got a large dome so that's not an issue.  Retractable mic is cool too.

Mod Mic £35

Sennhesier 449s £53

= Perfect :D

The Siberia v2 and g930 are ok, but I would still call them mediocre from a sound point

Which mod mic would you recommend since I've never looked at those myself? And since sennheiser 449s use 3.5mm cable, does that mean that i also need to have a sound card? Usually you don't, if the headset is with USB, but sennheiser 449s have 3.5mm

There is only one, either with or without the mute function, its made by antlion

£35 without mute

http://www.scan.co.uk/products/antlion-modmic-(v40)-muteless-uni-directional-stick-on-boom-mic-converts-any-headphones-into-chat-ga

£40 with mute

You dont need a sound card, you connect it to the 3.5mm headphone jack on your PC, every pc is capable of running those headphones

Also means if you upgrade heaphones in the future, or get other sets of headphones you can use it with thos too, just get a spare magnet for like £4

Get a replacement for your Cloud 2. If its only 2 weeks old and it wasnt user error that broke them then you'll be able to get new one from wherever you bought them. Use the warranty

PC Audio Setup = Beyerdynamic DT 770 pro 80 ohm and Sennheiser pc37x (also for xbox) hooked up to Schiit Fulla 3
