Anyone have experience with the Asus ThunderboltEX II/Dual?

Hey everyone, 

 

I am looking at getting the add in card for my X99-S motherboard to add Thunderbolt capability, however I do not want to use it to drive a Thunderbolt display (the only thing I have seen people use the card for) I am wanting to connect it to a Thunderbolt audio interface. Does anyone know if this is possible?

 

Sorry for such a nooby question, I just want to make sure before I put the cash down on the parts.

I'm not sure what you mean by Thunderbolt audio interface but for any kind of thunderbolt connection on that board you must use the expansion card.

Hmm that's a bit different never seen one with a thunderbolt connection but as long as the software is in place on their end I don't see why it wouldn't work.
