Hi all,

I purchased my latest system last year- but found mITX, the amount of RAM, and the 980 (in some cases), to just hold me back. As such, I've sold my system for a whopping $50 less than I paid for it last year (buyer wanted a pre made system~ still ended up cheaper than collecting parts and building it himself). So I'm now back into the market for a new system, and have configured one below. I'd appreciate opinions on the finer details- things like which PSU I should use, which RAM and which SSDs- as for the rest I'm quite happy with it. Just for one final thing: I'm sourcing a 480GB SSD from my previous system, in combination to the one I'll be purchasing- I'm trying to eliminate HDDs due to noise issues I've experienced in the past.

Kind Regards.

Don't the V300 SSD it's really slow get something like the Samsung 850 EVO or Crucial BX100

And you don't really need that much wattage unless you plan to SLI later, 600W-700W is enough

Also you need DDR4 memory

try to find a cheaper motherboard because it doesn;t affect perforance in any way

get another ssd like samsung 850 evo or pro. the v300 seriees from kingston is more budget oriented than performance

also, get ddr4 memory

AMD Athlon X4 750k; Gigabyte F2A88XM-DS2; 8Gb Corsair XMS 1600 Mhz; AMD Hd5670 1Gb DDR3; Bequiet E6-600W; W7 Ultimate x64

What is this system for? Also why not just get a h100 and a 850 EVO with the price of what your getting(I may be wrong about that those may still be better,Now that I look at it I look pretty basic  )

Just for gaming and video editing for school courses, etc. Mostly just for gaming and casual every day use. I was looking @The H100i but I've heard that they can be quite loud, and I've had bad past experiences with AIOs- my H80 died back in 2013 and my H100 had a loud pump issue.

That was probably a memory leak.. It's hard to cap out 8GB unless running 4 games and rendering video's lol

I'd assume so. Because I was going past 8GB in trivial games like Advanced Warfare and Arkham Knight (but that obviously had major performance issues)

Aren't those RMs the ones that were reported to have killed GPUS and melted cables?

I wouldn't go corsair.

Get EVGA.

I'll find the thread of PSU reviews!

You must be running pretty light games if that's the case...

Just having a multi-tabbed browser open was screwing me over with 8GB. 16GB or bust for me from now on...

Anyway, that build...

First off, DDR4. That board doesn't support DDR3 memory, so you'll need to go up a notch. There's a DDR4 version of the HyperX Fury kit, so you're fine there.

Secondly, that SSD. Ditch it, and get a Samsung 850 EVO instead. They're not much more pricier, but deliver significantly improved performance.

Other than that, it appears relatively solid.
