I've been planning my first pc build for about 6 months now and i feel like this is the hardest thing ive ever done. I need some help! make whatever changes you deem necessary, it will be GREATLY appreciated.

This pc will be used exclusively for gaming. I would like to be able to run today's high demanding games in ultra or near ultra settings if possible given my
1.3k budget.

You have too much RAM. 8GB is more than enough.

Also, your PSU is lacking a bit of headroom. I would go with at least 500W.

For the rest, solid build.

Also, i'd recommend a SSD a lot, it's the biggest upgrade you can get IMO

Oh and another thing, a mechanical keyboard isn't that big of a deal. I would drop that and get a regular keyboard + SSD in stead.

Get a bigger power supply and try for an ssd. I ran my old pc off a mechanical drive and when I got my ssd it was amazing!

if you drop the 200+ spent on mouse and keyboard you could fit a 980ti for a little more in comparison.

Incidentally, if you insist on 16 gigs of RAM, a 16GB kit is generally cheaper than getting two 8's. Barring that, I'd probably trim a bit on some of your higher-dollar parts (do you really need a $100 case? Not saying it's not good, but that's a lot for a box..) to get your hands on an SSD. If you trim, say, $30 budget on each for your video card and your CPU, $10 on your case and get an extra $10 back from your RAM (assuming sticking with 16GB), you've got about $80 for an SSD, which can start getting you into 240GB drives; if you can't do that, 120s can be got for under $50. And trust me, you'll notice the difference with an SSD, in some cases more than from your video card.

I suggest 16 gb if he's using it for ANYTHING besides gaming, and I think 16 gigs is entitled to be there on a 1.3k machine.
