Give it time to process the video, it will go up to 1080p after a while.

 

Usually an hour or so should be enough for most videos to get to their full resolution.

I don't think you can edit 1080p with Windows Movie Maker.

You can lol. I used to do that back in 2011 on Windows 7.  Even 1440P worked

 

The XP version doesn't support 1080P I think.

Right click on your video file, look at the properties, details tab.  It will tell you your frame size.

 

But Youtube does some processing on your video, so it usually does the lower quality versions before doing the HD versions, so if you wait for the processing to be finished you will find that your video is in 1080p.
