Question regarding voltage and temps

Does this look good for 10 mins in valley? Extreme HD preset. Is the VDDC 1.400V just a random spike or should I be worried? Usually around 1.070V there. ASIC is 77.1%

If you haven't touched the voltage i wouldn't be worried

Weird that it randomly spiked volts up, but max temp didn't seem to be effected by it, so I think it may be a bug in gpu-z.

Nope, i haven't. When I hovered over it it as 1.070.

My 4790k was baking at over 90c at 1.35v, 1.4 is too high. I've seen in the past that Gigabyte and Asus boards are known for ramping up voltages on their own. I'd go in and set it to a static 1.15 or 1.2v like I did for my 4790k on the Maximus VII Hero

Could it be caused by me running furmark over a month ago? Haven't had artifacts/crashing/BSODs. VRM1 used to be 2-3*C cooler but I use to have 2 frontal intakes, now I have 2 frontal exhaust

My 4790k was baking at over 90c at 1.35v, 1.4 is too high. I've seen in the past that Gigabyte and Asus boards are known for ramping up voltages on their own. I'd go in and set it to a static 1.15 or 1.2v like I did for my 4790k on the Maximus VII Hero

I don't think so.  I really think it was just a bug in GPU-Z, I have had them a few times on AMD cards.

Oh, okay. For a minute there I was having another panic attack since the store where I got my PSU from ran furmark to test it and also asked them to swap my fan orientation (cause of CPU cooler) and ever since then I've bee scared since the VRMs used to be 2*C cooler and now are 1-2*C warmer.

Check with AIDA64 and see what it does with the built in stress test.

Aida64 Stress Test gives me 1.040-1.070 (varying slightly).

EDIT: tried again - 1.100 max on starting and going down to 1.080.

Weird VDDC issues seem common in AMD cards, particualrly 7850 and 7950. It's probably a bad reading, if your voltage had actually gone up that high your temps would have shown it.

I guess, usually with GPUs the best way to provide adequate cooling is having cool air blowing directly, either from the front or the side.

Yeah but it's not like you need wind blowing on the heatsink, as long as the air is moving it's enough, the GPU has it's own fans, the goal os making the air inside cooler, not actually blowin on it. For me adding 2 AP121s on the front made a difference, about 5 degrees, but my case had very restrictive front intake

Right again. And judging from the temps, I should be fine I guess and if no artifacting/BSODs are seen then it's all good Thanks mate, means a lot.

Totally, i mean those temps at those fan RPMs are fantastic, nothing to worry about.
