So i need to install a copy of windows onto a new PC that i will build in December. I have my Windows 8.1 OEM product key but no disk. My brother has a windows 8.1 home disk that I might use, along with my OEM product key. However i don't even know if this will work and if so i don't have any idea about how to deactivate/uninstall windows on my current pc before swapping the same install of windows to a completly new PC. Can you please explain how i might do it if it even works in the first place.

You can use this for the Windows 8.1 ISO  http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-8/create-reset-refresh-media then when installing just enter your product key. If it still says not activated, you will have to call the automated support system and it will activate it for you.
