Modig my gpu cooler and case

So im planning to mod the cooler on my msi gtx 780ti as the red doesnt really attract me That much, can i buy some carbonfiber tape or some orange tape to tape over the red schemes on the cooler?

And for the case, the case is a corsair air 540, and for the airflow i want to make a thin metal plate to place over my harddrives to make the air move better.

I would like some suggestions to what i could do :-)

if u wish to change colors really... dont use tape... spraypaint them instead taking the parts apart and taping off that u dont want to paint ofc spraypaint is available in like any coloru can think off ( could make a chrome looking pc for example with red leds and it would shine all over )

Im gonna do a orange and black themed build, so, I would accually just like to get some carbonfiber tape to tape over.. i wont buy any orange paint, i just want it black, because im not going to see the cooler anyways :-)

ur call, my vote stays with the spray paint, its simple as heck to spraypaint aswell and doesnt wear off unless u stab it with a knife or somthing haha

if u can... go for it ... its the only thing i would recommend really ( tbh i just spraypainted my xbox 360 before   haha worked out great , id recommend using a acryl based spraypaint for pc components/plastics dont spray paint the pcbs ^^)

Ofc not spraypainting the pcb, just taking off the cooler

haha was just a joke but yeah spraypaint all the way... make sure u dont do it in a dusty room tho to avoid lil particles on ur paint

Should work, I'd personally spray it with the garage closed then head out of there as otherwise you'll get a fair dose of spraypaint fumes.

My Daily job is rust repair and rust protection spraypainter, so a little paint is nothing :-)

Spray paint or plasti-dip itself would be the easiest as others have mentioned but you could vinyl wrap it, might be a bit difficult but doable if you have the time and patience.
