Mouse problems

Go to solution Solved by ZetZet,

and one of thes will solve the problem definetly?

no, but if it works perfectly on a table it should work perfectly on a hard mouse pad. going from cloth to cloth, like you wanted to do changes absolutely nothing.

So basically my Steelseries sensei raw started having tracking issues on my cloth mouse pad. And I've read that the issues are most likely caused by the laser sensor. So I was thinking of buying a hard pad ( ASUS STRIX GLIDE SPEED ) , and my question is if that should do it, or am I in for a new mouse all together?

And where can I modify that?

at configuration > mouse > pointer options u see a little box > Enhance pointer precision... with this enabled ... mouse acceleration will be enabled   disable this if it is enabled

if u still get weird accelerations,  click and hold the slider bar for mouse sensitivity, drag it all the way to left then to right and left a few times and put it back to the middle ( somtimes its stubborn and needs a lil mashing like that to disable )

laser mice have acceleration built in anyway  :P

I've disabled that a long time ago, the tracking is really laggy, sometimes the pointer just doesn't move for a second or so, and if a draw a straight line from left to right it goes downwards.

Guess I'm funked?

The mouse works normally on my desk tho :/

oooo prolly just a fked mousepad then due to dirt ( cloth does absorb dirt ) try going over the cloth with a knife see if it turns white, if it does its dirty as heck and that can cause issues ( really really rare but it can cause it ;x )

my suggestion get some cheap ass mousepad ( cloth one ) from a cheap ass store or w/e .. cheapest of cheapest u can find... actually get a few of them , if one wears out pop in the other one :D haha

ive had expensive mousepads and cloth is always the best really... plastic is good in the begin but it will also wear out AND wear out the bottom of ur mouse quicker than cloth

also do not get color printed mousepads coz different colors can cause issues on some laser mousies

if it does then hard mouse pad is what you need. Laser mice have problems with cloth pads most of the time.
