OP. This. The 980Ti will even beat the Titan X when you start OCing it cause that thing OCs like a beast.

I actually couldn't underclock my 5 year old GPU to make it as slow as a next-gen console.

Not sure. Maybe, maybe not. You could get the 980 Gold 20th anniversary also. It has even more cherry pick to go with it :D

I would go 980Ti :), it's definately worth the investment over the 980.

then again i have heard bad stories about the Asus cards and their cooling so maybe go for the gigabyte or Evga versions instead?

Strix's don't overclock well and look hideous. Get anything else.

does look bad, thats why they are not ROG :P but its whats under the hood that counts more, looks are just a added feature :P

haha i rather keep my SLI  260's :P but they do need to bring back the Nvidia 90 series :P

I love how some of the ROG stuff looks myself :").

And i feel you bro, 90 series cards i have my soft spot for :"). just a shame we'll never see a 990ti. (i know i made a thread on it but eh)

also if there is a MARS 960 then that's kind of dull, since you probably would just be as well as going for a 980ti/SLI 970/Even a 980/SLI 960, MARS cards should be of the 70/80 series, not the 60 series.

Not much under the hood. They overclock fairly weakly. Although if you manage to get one with a certain brand of memory in it, that can overclock easily.

I will say this, I've NEVER heard my Strix 970 whilst gaming. I've turned the fans up manually until it sounds like a vacuum cleaner, but it's never actually gotten hot enough, even when overclocked as far as I can push mine (1425 with the 75 boost up to 1500) running triple monitor surround. Overclocked it can play GTA 5 on decently "high" settings (medium-high, leaning more towards high than medium). Although this may be due to every fan in my case being at 100% speed.

Runs skyrim like a champ until I add in too many grass mods combined with distance render mods.

Ketchup is better than mustard.

GUI is better than Command Line Interface.

Dubs are better than subs

Asus coolers are usually good in my experience but some aren't as good (namely Strix) - My card stays around 70*C on the core and 72*C on the VRMs are 37% fanspeed in a case with bad, inverted (front exhaust fans cause reasons) airflow.
