windows 10 update stuck and wont let me restart it

I left windows 10 to download all night and then I woke up and it is stuck at preparing for installation and when I press stop download it just gray's out the button but doesn't stop it and even if I close the window it still opens up to the same spot

I would just pull the plug and start try again

I just restarted my computer and now it has been checking for updates for like 5 minutes
